Various creators have done rules light efforts to define a role playing game. For example, the Deathbringer RPG by Professor Dunegon Master of Dungeon Craft, a YouTube influencer, that insists upon a system with simplicity, enabling the DM to concentrate on generating fun instead of looking up rules. I went into the effort to create the character creation, combat system, and damage resolution system. The goal was to print it on a standard sheet of paper in the pamphlet format.
